TWD: Chocolate Cupcakes
Whaaaaaaaaaaat? My favoritest beech in the whole wide world is our hostess for TWD this week. The fantabulous CB (who I nicknamed in case you were wondering) chose Chocolate Cupcakes for this weeks Dorie delight. I love CB for like a bajillion million reasons, but mainly I wub her because she wubs me too. Do you want to know how I know she loves me? Well, because she’s crazy and almost didn’t pick cupcakes and because I whined about hating white chocolate she changed her mind again and went back to the chocolate cupcakes. I wub you for not making me eat white chocolate beech!
A lot of people had issues with these cupcakes being dry and when I first took them out of the oven they were moist and delicous, but after leaving them out for … ohh I don’t know … 4ish to 5ish hours they weren’t quite as moist. I think I’m going to go 50/50 with the blame game. 50 percent going to the recipe and another 50 percent going to my lazy ass for slacking on getting them either covered or frosted or both.
Honestly, these cupcakes looked so damn cute when I was done playing around making chocolate trees that I could have cared less that they were a teeny bit dry. They were so cute and I’m officially obcessed with them. In honor of CB’s love of 2-fers and because this week is all about her I’m going for a 2-fer here and entering it in this month’s Art You Can Eat run my the fabulous Holly of Phemomenon. When you think of fall you think of Halloween and when you think of Halloween you think of chocolate and since these cupcakes are chocolate and they’re uber fall-y they fit the bill perfectly.

Chocolatechic - see that’s exactly how I feel. White chocolate is not chocolate
Teanna - They’re unbelievably easy to make. I’ll have to make a few more tonight and take pictures and I’ll post a little tutorial later this week.

I can’t believe you did those trees! I can’t believe they are even do-able! If there is a cupcake decorating contest going on around here, I’d vote for you! I promise that I would not even notice a wee bit of dryness if I was eating a cupcake decorated like that!
